Welcome to Jerry Wilkerson LLC
This isn't just another music company, it's a cooperative social corporation, meaning everyone involved has the opportunity to own what they build. Whether you're contributing skills, time, or financial investment, you're not just helping create something—you're a stakeholder in it.
We're merging music, storytelling, and business infrastructure to correct the imbalance in the industry.
The goal is simple: to ensure the people doing the work are the ones benefiting from it. If you've ever wanted to be part of something where your talents are valued, your efforts are rewarded, and your voice matters, then this is that opportunity.
About Us
This company wasn't built in a boardroom—it was forged in real experience. I started Ocean Floor Records in the late '90s, putting everything I had into making underground hip-hop the way it was meant to be.
Haiku D'Etat, Abstract Rude, Myka 9, Aceyalone—these weren't just artists I worked with, they were part of a movement. We made music that mattered, without industry gatekeepers deciding what got heard.
The way I was funding it all caught up with me. In 1999, I was arrested under federal investigation, charged, and spent the next decade in prison.
I lost everything—my label, my freedom, my connection to the world I'd built. But I didn't lose my vision.
Prison taught me how to rebuild smarter.I learned business, law, structure. I taught GED programs, ran college initiatives, and studied every system I could get my hands on. When I got out, I took those lessons into the real world—managing businesses, running legal departments, and honing the skills needed to make something built to last.
This company is the full-circle moment. It's a way to bring together the people and music that mattered most, but with a structure that ensures we own our work, control our profits, and build something that doesn't get taken away.
